Your Child's First Day
What will happen on my child’s first day?
We ask you to bring your child at 9.30am on the first day so that we have settled the regular children.
Your child does not need to bring lunch on their first day as they will only stay for a couple of hours – we will discuss what time to collect with you.
Depending on how well they settle we will increase the length of time they stay over the next few sessions until they are ready to stay an entire session. We will let you know when they are ready to stay for lunch.
Some children settle very quickly others take longer. We will only allow a child to stay for a full session when both the parent and Key Worker feel the child is ready.
It's perfectly normal for your child (and you!) to get a little upset on their first sessions. We are there to support all of you.
You will need to pay the full fee whilst your child is settling in as even though your child will not be staying all day we need to have the right number of staff in for the children.

Who will look after my child?
Each child is assigned an team member as a keyworker who will get to know your child best and help them through the settling in period. Your child's keyworker will let you know how your child is getting on and liaise with you over how much of the session they will stay for as they settle in.
How will I know how my child is getting on?
You can speak to your child’s keyworker at any time or speak to any other member of staff. Your child’s keyworker will keep in touch with you about how your child is getting on via Tapestry, our online journal. We will send you a code so that you can access pictures and observations of your child, your keyworker will also send messages to you on Tapestry to which you can reply, and you can upload pictures and messages too.
