Fundraising
Fundraising
We are a not-for-profit organisation so any money we raise is put back into the Playgroup to provide materials and activities for the children. Our only income is from fees which needs to cover rent, staff salaries (most staff are on minimum wage or just above) and everything else we need to run a playgroup. The fees alone do not cover our expenses so we really need your help to keep us going! We are truly grateful for support from parents and families. Any of the following are wonderful ways you can help us:
We have fundraising events throughout the year, such as an Easter and Christmas Hamper. We also have sponsored events for the children and parents to take part in, such as sponsored walks and sponsored tooth brushing.
Any ideas for fundraising are welcome!
Everyday Items
We are always extremely grateful for donations of the following as they are expensive for us to buy and we use them on a daily basis:
toilet paper
baby wipes
kitchen roll
tissues
Art, Craft and Mark Making Supplies
Buying equipment and materials for art, craft and encouraging children to begin to make marks on paper (which is the precursor to starting to write) can be expensive but many of the materials we use can often be found at home.
If you can spare any of the following items we would be very pleased to receive them at any time:
Paper – any kind, even if used on one side already – we use loads of paper!
Notebooks/pads of paper/sticky notes
Foil
Buttons
Cotton wool
Egg boxes
Wrapping paper
Paper bags
Ribbon
Shells
Clean sponges
Wallpaper
Beads
Pieces of fabric
Highlighter pens
Unused plain paper cups
Dried pasta/dried beans/dried lentils/rice
Old greetings cards
String/wool
Envelopes – new or used
Pipe cleaners
Glitter, pompoms, sparkly things – anything for collages
Unused plain paper plates
Yoghurt pots
Stickers
Sellotape or Blue-tac
And anything else you think we could use!
Thank you so much for your help.
