What Will My Child Do?

We have lots of activities every day to keep your child busy!  Check out our gallery for some examples of the fabulous things we do.  

Our Daily Routine

9.00am - We open with a warm welcome for all our families.  Children are encouraged to self-register by finding the card with their name and picture and putting it on their peg.  Either Salima (Manager) or Emma (Deputy Manager) will always be available at opening and closing times should you wish to discuss anything.

9.20am - We sit down on the carpet for registration time and to talk about our rules, including how to be kind to one another and listen. We also talk about what day it is and what kind of weather we can see. 

9.45am - Snack time!  We offer wholemeal toast and lots of variety in fruits and vegetables.  Children can have milk or water.   We don't expect children to sit for too long and it is their choice whether or not they want to have snack, although we do ask every child.  

11am - Circle Time.  This is a time for coming together, singing and sharing stories.  Sometimes the group will be divided into younger and older children to encourage focus and concentration.  Again, we don't expect very young children to sit for too long, the important thing is that they are learning something from the session.

12pm - Tidy up Time!  We all tidy up together ready for lunch.  Children going home at 12pm will get their coats and water bottles. 

12.10pm - Story time .  We read a story and give out stickers for good listening and tidying.

12.20pm - Lunch time.  Everyone sits together to eat lunch.  A member of staff will be present at each table. 

12.45pm - More free play time with our friends.  This is also the time when keyworkers spend time with their key children.

2.20pm - More tidying!

2.35pm - Carpet time.  Winding down with a story or some songs ready for home.

2.45pm - Doors open ready for collection.
