Meet our Team

Emma

Deputy Manager and Safeguarding Officer

Emma has worked for Cherry Trees for 13 years,  becoming Manager in 2012. She stepped down in 2019 and is now Deputy. She has a  BA in Psychology from Durham University and a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare.  She is also a qualified astrologer and holds a Diploma in Applied Astrology. Emma has daughters aged 18 and 21,, and two dogs.  

Salima

Manager

Salima has worked in childcare for 17 years.  She joined Cherry Trees in September 2018 as Deputy Manager and took over as Manager in 2019. She has a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and is currently  working towards her  Level 5.  She also has Level 3  in Management.  She has two sons and likes to spend her spare time with her family.

Dawn 

Dawn started working at Cherry Trees in 2006 but has worked with children for 20 years.  She has an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Playwork.  She enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. 

Marie

Special Education Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (Sendco)

Marie joined Cherry Trees October 2019.    She has a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare.  She is currently working towards her Level 5.  She has worked in childcare for 12 years and has two sons.  She likes to spend her spare time with her family, which usually entails watching them play football every weekend! 

 Nic

Administrator

Nic joined Cherry Trees in 2011 after gaining her NVQ Level 2 in Childcare.  Having taken a break in 2015, she returned as a permanent member of staff in 2018.  This  year Nic will be taking on an admin role, supporting us in the office.  Nic has four children and enjoys cooking, reading and  up-cycling furniture.
