Fees and Sessions

Fees and Fundraising

Cherry Trees is a not-for-profit organisation and our only income comes from fees. This money has to try to cover rent, salaries (we employ enough staff to meet government ratios for childcare but we usually have more staff than this as we feel this lets us give better care to the children - many of our staff work at minimum wage or just above) and everything else we need (food for snacks, art supplies, toiletries, toys, stationery, children's Christmas party ...... everything!)

We try hard to keep fees as low as possible but the money from fees does not always cover our costs. Our only other way of getting money to cover the day-to-day running of Cherry Trees comes from fundraising. Please see our Fundraising page for how you can help us.

Attending Pre-School

Many children stay with us during their nursery year instead of attending a nursery at school.

Further details on funding can be found on the Gov Uk website.

30 hour funding- we are only open 24 hours per week but you if you are eligible for 3-4 year old 30 hours funding you can use 24 hours of that with us.

Fees and Sessions

Our sessions run from 9am to 3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  We also offer half-day sessions now from 9am to 12pm. We are open term-time only - more information can be found on our Term Dates page.

We take children from their 2nd birthday  and children may join when they are 2, 3 or 4 years old.  (We are happy to accept children still in nappies.)

Our fees are:

£40  per full session 9am to 3pm

£20 per morning session 9am to 12pm

£20 top up fee from 12 to 3pm for funded children*

*All 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for 15 hours a week of funded education which starts the term after their 3rd birthday.

They are therefore entitled to 2 and a half sessions at Cherry Trees.  You have the option of paying a top up fee for the half day session so that they can attend 3 full sessions.   Please contact us for more details.

In addition many 2 year-olds are also eligible for 15 hours a week funded education which starts the term after their 2nd birthday and rolls continuously into 3 year-old funding.  To be eligible for 2 year-old funding parents need to be in receipt of certain benefits or tax credits - please ask your health visitor or local Children's Centre to find out if you are eligible for 2 year-old funding.  The same top up option applies.

PLEASE NOTE - A RETAINER FEE OF TWO WEEKS' FEES IS EXPECTED UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR APPLICATION AND BEFORE YOUR CHILD JOINS US.  THIS WILL BE REFUNDED WHEN YOU LEAVE US, OR USED TO COVER YOUR NOTICE PERIOD IN THE EVENT OF YOU LEAVING WITHOUT GIVING TWO WEEKS' NOTICE.
