Fees and Sessions

Our sessions run from 9.00am to 3.00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  We are open term-time only - see our Term Dates for details.

We take children from the age of 2 years old and children may join when they are 2, 3 or 4 years old.  (We are happy to accept children still in nappies.)

Our fees are £27.00 per session. However, all 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for 15 hours a week of funded education which starts the term after their 3rd birthday: contact us for more information.  Therefore they are entitled to 2 and half days funded and they can top up the third day by paying £10.  The half day sessions will be 9.00am to 12.00noon.

In addition many 2 year-olds are also eligible for 15 hours a week funded education which starts the term after their 2nd birthday and rolls continuously into 3 year-old funding.  To be eligible for 2 year-old funding parents need to be in receipt of certain benefits or tax credits - please ask your health visitor or local Children's Centre to find out if you are eligible for 2 year-old funding.

30 hour funding- we are only open 24 hours per week but you if you are eligible for 3-4 year old 30 hours funding you can use 24 hours of that with us.

Further details on funding can be found on the Gov Uk website.

Fees and Fundraising
Cherry Trees is a not-for-profit organisation and our only income comes from fees. This money has to try to cover rent, salaries (we employ enough staff to meet government ratios for childcare but we usually have more staff than this as we feel this lets us give better care to the children - many of our staff work at minimum wage or just above) and everything else we need (food for snacks, art supplies, toiletries, toys, stationery, children's Christmas party ...... everything!)
We try hard to keep fees as low as possible but the money from fees does not always cover our costs. Our only other way of getting money to cover the day-to-day running of Cherry Trees comes from fundraising. Please see our Fundraising page for how you can help us.

Attending Pre-School
Many children stay with us during their nursery year instead of attending a nursery at school.
